entegra AG takes over the full legal succession of entegra eyrich + appel GmbH. All contracts and agreements of the GmbH are being transferred to the AG, and all business data, except for the commercial register number, remain unchanged.
A brief explanation: The legal form of an AG corresponds to a public limited company. In Germany there are around 800.000 mostly small GmbHs, but only 13.000 AGs (e.g. many DAX-listed companies are AGs).
The company continues to be owner-managed, with all shares retained by the founders, Uwe Appel and Wolfgang Eyrich. Your contacts will remain the same, and there will be no price changes as a result of this transformation.
Why is entegra taking this step if everything remains the same?
- Growth path
In addition to our focus on digitalization in architecture and mechanics, the global energy transition and the demands on power grid operators have become key priorities. Transitioning to a public company allows us to evolve from a "hidden cham-pion" to a visible technology leader in power grid expansion while raising the capital needed for research and development. - Employer brand:
Building long-term employee relationships is part of entegra’s DNA. By simplifying the possibility of issuing employee shares, we are increasing our attractiveness as an employer for both internal and new talent and retaining expertise in the long term. This enables us to continue offering and even ex-panding our unique service to our customers despite the increasing shortage of skilled labor. - Business continuity and succession planning
The current managing directors, Wolfgang Eyrich and Uwe Appel, will transition to the Board of Directors of entegra AG. In the medium run, we plan to expand the board and gradually hand over operational management to a younger team from within our organization. This will ensure that entegra AG retains the spirit of an owner-managed company, even as we grow, and secures our long-term future for decades to come.
In challenging times, driven by demographic change, technological disruption and the upcoming generational change in many companies, the AG transformation now enables us to set the course for a long-term cooperation without any compromise.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly with any questions about this new development.
We look forward to engaging with you further.
